Edelweiss is a mountain plant. Known for its rarity, its name comes from the German words ‘edel’, which means noble, and ‘weiss’ for the colour white. In Switzerland, the edelweiss is a true national emblem and is depicted on the 5 Swiss franc coin. In the Tyrol, and in the Alpine region in general, the edelweiss represents purity and love, and it is customary for the bridegroom to offer a bouquet to his bride on their wedding day.

You will find many references to the edelweiss flower in the hotel decorations (curtains, wall lights, cushions...) as a tribute to local and ancestral traditions...

A peaceful oasis situated in the heart of Geneva

The subtle scent of wood, shades of natural colours and warm furnishings welcome you to each room. The "Made in Switzerland" cocooning spirit is an experience that does guests a power of good, sustainably.

Around a fondue accompanied by a traditional live music … evenings at the Edelweiss restaurant are unforgettable. On the “A la carte” menu, you’ll find recipes developed using an exclusive selection of the best local products. Entertainment is provided by a folk band while you enjoy your meal. The programme includes both typical swiss songs as well as the famous yodel which was used by shepherds to communicate with each other from one hill to the next in former times.

The buffet is inspired by “Swissness” with a selection of traditional cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts, white cheese, fruit salad, fresh fruit, dried fruit and nuts, a range of homemade jams, honey, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, chicken sausage and potato, selection of bread and pastries, fruit juice…

All prepared to ensure a really good start to the day.
